Question 1

What is Valvur?

Accepted Answer

Valvur is a deep-tech safety company. We build AI, Post-Quantum Cryptography and on-device systems that detect digital risks — scams, grooming, fraud, toxicity — before they cause harm, and we do it without watching what people say or sending their data to the cloud

Question 2

Where did Valvur come from?

Accepted Answer

We were born in the arena — gaming and esports, where millions of children and adults are targeted every day and legacy security tools simply do not reach. The techniques we proved there now protect banks, telcos, schools and public institutions

Question 3

Is Valvur a product I can download, or a technology you integrate?

Accepted Answer

Both. The Valvur family-protection app is live on the App Store and Google Play. For businesses and governments we deliver the same core as an SDK, a white-label ecosystem, or a fully on-premise deployment

Question 4

Who is Valvur for?

Accepted Answer

Families who want to keep children safe online, and organisations who are accountable for the safety of their users — gaming studios, banks and insurers, telcos and ISPs, broadcasters and creator platforms, schools, and the public sector

Question 5

Do you work with audiovisual media and creator platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Broadcasters, streaming services, audiovisual producers, creator platforms and media distributors are one of the verticals we serve. Audiences there now watch, comment, create and transact with creators and with AI, so media carries the same age, consent and interaction questions as games and messengers. The same trust layer answers them: age-appropriate access, guardian permissions, creator verification, interaction signals and synthetic-media provenance

Question 6

How does Valvur protect people without surveillance?

Accepted Answer

We analyse behaviour and risk signals, not private messages. Our models run on-device wherever possible, so raw content never leaves the user’s phone or your infrastructure. Safety without reading anyone’s conversations is the whole point

Question 7

What does “on-device processing” actually mean?

Accepted Answer

Core AI models and cryptography run locally — on the phone, the game server, or inside your own data centre. There is zero data egress, which keeps latency low and satisfies data-sovereignty and NIS2 requirements by design

Question 8

Why does Valvur use Post-Quantum Cryptography?

Accepted Answer

Attackers are already harvesting encrypted data today to decrypt once quantum computers mature. PQC protects what you store now against that future threat, so the trust you build with users does not have an expiry date

Question 9

Does Valvur use my data to train its models?

Accepted Answer

No. On-premise and SDK deployments can be fine-tuned on your own data, under your control, without any of it leaving your environment. We do not pool customer content to train shared models

Question 10

What is the difference between the SDK, White-Label and the app?

Accepted Answer

One core, three delivery modes. The SDK embeds Valvur inside your existing product; the White-Label Ecosystem ships a fully branded app you own; and the Valvur app is our consumer product for families. All three run on the same deep-tech engine

Question 11

How long does it take to deploy Valvur?

Accepted Answer

A typical pilot moves from architecture review to production in a matter of weeks: a short review, a sandbox deployment, a security audit, then rollout. Timelines scale with how deeply you integrate

Question 12

Can Valvur run entirely inside our own infrastructure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The On-Premise Core is built for organisations where security is a legal requirement, not a preference — updates arrive through unidirectional gateways so your IT team stays in control of every version

Question 13

Do you build custom solutions?

Accepted Answer

We do. ValvurLabs and our consulting team design tailored deployments and research partnerships when an off-the-shelf format is not enough for your vertical

Question 14

Is Valvur compliant with GDPR, NIS2 and the EU AI Act?

Accepted Answer

Compliance is designed in, not bolted on. Because Valvur minimises data and processes it on-device, it maps cleanly onto GDPR, NIS2, the DSA and the AI Act — and it is built to ISO 27001 practices

Question 15

Where is Valvur based, and where is data stored?

Accepted Answer

Valvur is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with a US entity in Delaware. On-premise and on-device deployments keep data physically where you require it — under your jurisdiction, not ours

Question 16

How are threat and model updates verified?

Accepted Answer

Updates are delivered as batches you can inspect and approve before installation. Nothing changes inside your environment without your team seeing it first

Question 17

How do we get started or run a pilot?

Accepted Answer

Tell us your vertical and what you are trying to protect. We will scope a pilot, share a data room, and get a proof of value in front of you quickly — use the form below to reach the team
